The death of one of our most beloved ladies occurred last Tuesday morning when death relieved Mrs. Nathan Scofield of her sufferings from pneumonia. Harriet Noble was united in marriage to Nathan Scofield in 1858. She has been a resident of this place for a number of years. Three children blessed their home: Orrissa dying at the age of three; Neola, now wife of George Stein_ilber, of Pocahontas; and Fred W., who died Aug. 31st, 1893. Mrs. Scofield was a woman who was ever ready to help those in trouble. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon. Thus one by one earth's loved ones pass away. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the heartbroken husband, daughter and other relatives.
