Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Feb. 1905. Elkport and Vicinity column.

DIED - Friday Feb. 10th, 1905, George Herman, aged 82 years. For the past thirty-five years deceased has been a resident of Volga and Jefferson townships and has always been known as an honorable, upright man. He leaves a wife and six grown up children to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father. The funeral took place Monday, Father Minogue officiating. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
