Elkader Register, Thur., 24 Nov. 1904. Strawberry Point column.

Last Friday we were pained to hear of the death of Mr. Schuchman, of this place, which occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Baumgartner, at Oelwein. We learn that it was his intention to go and visit his brother in California and was driven over as far as Oelwein, where he stopped a few days with his daughter. Here he was taken suddenly ill and died as above stated Friday. Funeral services occurred at Oelwein Monday, and the remains were brought to the St. Sebald cemetery for burial.
