Elkader Register, Thur., 13 Oct. 1904. Elgin column.
Theodore Halvorson died at his home near Gunder Monday afternoon. Deceased was about thirty-five years of age and highly respected in the community where he resided. He leaves to mourn his loss, besides a wife and one child, many relatives and friends. His decline to the ultimate end has been one which has caused sorrow, consumption had laid hold of him and he gradually failed until the end came. In spite of loving care, tender nursing, and the best of medical attendance, it was soon seen there was little hope. A change of climate was recommended and it was only last week that he and his family returned from Colorado Springs, Col., where they had been in hope that his health and strength might be returned to him. This hope was shattered and he returned home and passed away as above stated. Funeral services were held at the Gunder church today (Thursday) and interment made in the cemetery there.
