Elkader Register, Thur., 24 Mar. 1904. Littleport column.

Alexander E. Russell died at Prairie du Chien on the 18th inst., after a lingering illness lasting several months. He leaves a fond wife, nee Miss Lena Armbruster, to mourn his demise. Al, as he was familiarly called, was quite well known here and made many friends. The remains were brought here on Monday for burial and laid to rest in the Communia cemetery.
