Ed. Tiede, a well known traveling man, died at Cedar Rapids Monday night, aged 38 years, and Wednesday his remains passed through Dubuque on their way to Elkport. Mr. Tiede was at one time connected with the Schreiber - Conchar establishment, and was not only well known in Dubuque and throughout the northwest, but held in the highest regard by hundreds of friends. He was a Mason, and at one time belonged to a lodge in Colesberg. He will be remembered as a man of genial temperament, full of good nature, and one who always had a good word to say for all his friends. At the time of his demise he was connected with the Continental Tobacco Co. - Dubuque Times.
