Elkader Register, Thur., 24 Apr. 1902.

Catherine Kennedy died on Friday last at the home of her son P. J. Kennedy in Highland township, at the advanced age of 86 years. She had been a resident of the county for half a century. Three sons, P. J., Peter and Martin, and one daughter, mourn the loss of mother. The funeral was held Monday at St. Joseph's church, of which she had been a consistent member during her life time.
