DIED - Mrs. Hannah Jane Weir nee Dood, was born in Marion county, Ohio, on March 3rd, 1831, and died at McGregor Nov 25th, 1901, age 70 years.

[She] was married in Joe Davis county, Ills., 1848, coming to Iowa and settled in Allamakee county, and finally located in Clayton county. She closed her days living with her children, Dave and Si Weir.

She leaves to mourn her loss eight children, a host of relations and friends. One son, Will, of Alba Creek, New Mexico, arrived Monday afternoon.

Services were held at the M.E. church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Dutton officiating.

-The son referred to as Si in this obituary, is her son Ishiel.
-Maiden name DOOD or DODD can be found in various records, DODD being the most common
