Priscilla Gregg, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gregg, was born in Strathroy Canada, August 15th, 1847, thus making her age 54 years, 5 months and 8 days. When she was six weeks old, her parents moved to Iowa, making their home for many years near Monona.
She became a member of the M.E. church of this place when about eighteen years of age and has been a very earnest, christian worker.

In 1873, she moved to Canada where, until recently, she made her home. In 1892 she married Mr. P.A. Crews, who died in 1899.
Last May she came back to Monona. After visiting here and at Postville for a time, she went to Decorah; while there she was attacked with paralysis from which she did not recover.
Besides other relatives and friends, she leaves two brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Gustavus Gregg, of Monona; Mrs. Samuel Arnold, of Monona; James Gregg, of Postville and Mrs. George Highouse [or Bighouse] of Decorah.
