Elkader Register, Thur., 29 May 1879.

DIED - At his home in this township, on Tuesday, May 27th, 1879, of cancer of the face, Michael McCormack, aged _0 years.

Mr. McCormack has been a respected citizen of this county for over _0 years, and leaves a wife, children and many friends to mourn his loss. For nearly a year he has suffered with a cancer of the face, medical aid being of no avail; finally death came to his relief and his spirit is at rest. The funeral was held yesterday, a large concourse of neighbors and friends following the remains to their last resting place.
