Elkader Register, Fri., 10 Sept. 1897. Clayton column.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koehn have the sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement by the death of their only babe, which died of spinal meningitis Wednesday morning. Dr. Randall was summoned but to late, as he found the child dying on his arrival.
