Joachim Hochhaus died at Clayton on the 5th inst., after a long illness. He was born Dec. 28, 1828, and was over 72 years of age. He leaves besides his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Fred Kreisler, and two sons, Herman, of Lansing, and William, of Clayton, who have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral was held at their home, on the 7th, Rev. K___tt officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Clayton cemetery.
