DIED- At his home in Littleport, Wednesday afternoon, April 12th, John Farrell, at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 8 days. Deceased was born in County West Meath, Ireland, March 4, 1812, and came to America in 18_1, settling in Volga twp., of this county, in 1845, where he has lived until a few years past, when he moved to Littleport. He leaves a wife, four sons and three daughters: James at Marshalltown, Ia.; Edward at St. Paul, Minn.; John at West Union; and Michael at Elkader; Mrs. Thomas Burns and Mrs. Geo. Dean at Dubuque; and Mrs. E. J. Bauman at Goodell, Ia. Another old settler has gone to his reward. The funeral will be held Friday morning at the Catholic church at Littleport. Peace be with him.
