Clayton County Register, Thur., 12 Dec. 1929. Strawberry Point column.
Dorothy Jean, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Gladwin aged two weeks passed away last Tuesday. From birth the little one was handicapped by a delicate constitution and though every effort was made by the parents to help the little sufferer to good health gradually it lost strength and gave up the struggle. Funeral services were held at the home last Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. T. J. Elnick, pastor of the M.E. church. Interment took place in the local cemetery. Besides the sorrowing parents she is survived by one sister, Fern Mae, and one brother, Floyd, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gladwin and Mrs. L. Waring besides other relatives.
How brief the stay, as beautiful
as fleeting,
The time that baby came with us
to dwell;
Just long enough to give a happy
greeting,
Just long enough to bid us all
farewell.
