Mrs. Elizabeth Lynch died at three p.m. August 29, at the home of her son, Albert Meyer, east of Volga City, after an illness of about one year.

Elizabeth (Whittle) Lynch was born March 4, 1860, in Cox Creek township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Whittle. In 1878, at St. Joseph's church here, she was united in marriage with Joseph Meyers, and to this union four children were bon, all of whom survive, as follows: Henry, of Nassau, Minn.; Mrs. Anna Hurley, Bankston, Iowa; Albert and Ben, of Elkader.

Mr. Meyers died in 1884 and in November 1914, deceased moved to Luverne, Minn., where she was united in marriage with John Lynch. He preceded her in death August, 1915. Besides her children, Mrs. Lynch is survived by two brothers, John Whittle, of Strawberry Point, and H. K. Whittle, of Allendale, N.D.

Deceased was a life-long member of the Catholic church and a charter member of W.C.O.F., Court No. 108. Funeral services were held here last Saturday morning from St. Joseph's church and interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery, with the Rev. J. P. Taken officiating. Casket bearers were: Chas. Peick, Joe Cunningham, Richard Leonard, Frank Uriell, James Little and Joe Little.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral services were: Mrs. Henry Meyers and son Donald, Nassau, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Hurley and daughters, Helen, Dorothy and Rita, of Bankston; Mrs. Richard Collins and daughter, Kathleen, Monona; Mr. and Mrs. John Whittle and family, Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Meyers and family, also Mrs. Albert Meyers and son John, of Luxemburg, and Mrs. Wm. Burns, of Chicago.
