It has pleased God to call from time into Eternity, Karoline Huckstadt, Geb., Glawe, so we will give in short retrospect the course of her life. She was born on Aug. 10, 1866, in Funz_re, Pommern in Germany and confirmed in Clayton Center, Feb. 22, 1894.

She was united in marriage with Wilhelm Huckstadt. Four children were born to this union, three daughters and one son: Lucy, married to Arno Schmidt, residing in Monona township; Ella, wife of Alvin Mueller, residing in Read township; Hattie, married to Lorenz Schmidt, residing in Boardman township; Arthur at home.

The Lord called her home at 6:00 Sunday morning, Aug. 11, the day following the anniversary of her birth. Those remaining to mourn for her are her husband, son, three daughters and six grandchildren, one sister and seven brothers. The God of all consolation consoles the mourning ones with His Heavenly comfort and in the Word of Holy scripture. She was a life long faithful member of the Ev. Lutheran Zion church.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, from the home and in the church and was largely attended. Her pastor, Rev. Korte, officiated. Interment was made in the new cemetery.
