Elkader Register, Thur., 12 Nov. 1925.

Peter Dunn, Sr, resident of this community, passed away very suddenly last Saturday evening at his home here. His death was due to angine pectorias, a disease of the heart.

Mr. Dunn was born on the old home farm in Cox Creek township on July 30, 1856, and received his education in rural schools. On April 27, 1884, he was united in marriage to Miss Margaren Carter. The following children were born to them: Winifred, Peter A., T. C., Evelyn, F. E. and Jay.

He is survived by his faithful wife, his children, one sister, Mrs. M. H. McCarthy, of Dubuque, two brothers, James Dunn, of West Union, and F. A. Dunn, of Moorecraft, Wyo.

Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at St. Joseph's church, Rev. Father Taken officiating, with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Many relatives and friends came from a distance to pay their last respects to the departed.
