Mrs. Charles H. Robbins passed away at her home near Mederville last Friday, August 28th, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 23 days.

Hannah Ann Robbins, nee Galer, was born March 5th, 1848 in the state of Pennsylvania. She came with her parents to Iowa in the year 1851, settling near Littleport, remaining there until the year 1865, when they removed to the farm, where her brother, Michael, now resides.

She was married to Charles H. Robbins, Sept. 22nd, 1869, who passed away April 3, 1924. To this union seven children were born, five of whom are still living, viz: Mrs. James Mitchell, of Marquette, Iowa; Charles and Mrs. Clara Lange, at home; John and Robert of near Mederville. One daughter, Elsie, died May 12, 1895, and another daughter, Mrs. Everett McKinnis, died April 14, 1914.

Besides the five children she is survived by 8 brothers and one sister, viz: William, Bridgeport, Wis.; Solomon of Retlaw, Canada; Edward of Ft. Bidwell, California; John, Fred and Andrew of Springfield, South Dakota; Charles of Dubuque, Iowa; Michael of Mederville; and Mrs. Charity Welch of Oakland, California. Also 26 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Franke on Sunday afternoon, August 30th, at the home near Osborne, Iowa. A ladies choir from the Evangelical church of Elkader rendered several comforting selections. Interment was in the Mederville cemetery.
