Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 04 June 1897. Local Scrap Bag column.

At the homme of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Duwe, at Clayton, on Wednesday, June 2d, occurred the death of Dominic Osterdock, at an advanced age. Mr. Osterdock was among the early settlers of the county and well known by many of our readers. He had been in poor health for several years. The funeral was held yesterday, the intermet being at Garnavillo.
