We have the sad announcement this week of the death of Mr. Jno. Stade, a young man in the prime of life, who died Friday evening, April 23rd. He left a widow and six children. He was a member of the German Workman lodge at Elkader, and a large representation from the lodge were present at the funeral, which was held in the M.E. church Sunday afternoon. Rev. Schuman, of Postville, conducted the service at the church and the Workman took charge at the cemetery. About 350 relatives and friends were present. Mr. Stade was insured for $2000.
