Robert Goddard died Saturday at Portland, Oregon. He has been ill for several months with a cancerous growth in his stomach. When he was here in the spring for his mother's funeral he was suffering and went to Chicago for treatment, returned west and now has an end to his trouble. He was born in McGregor twenty-four years ago, and until a young man, made his home with his mother here. He leaves three brothers, Fred in Ellendale, N.D., and H. J. and Lou here to mourn his death.
