HEUER, SHUTZ, EGGIMAN, HAVERLAND

Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Aug. 1900.

At the residence of his daughter Mrs. Jacob Eggiman, in Boardman twp., at 5 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon Aug. 8tth, 1900, occurred the death of Wm. Heuer. Deceased was born Nov. 6th, 1821, in the province of Saxony, Prussia. In 1852 he married Elizabeth Shutz and to them five children were born of whom only one survives, Mrs. Jacob Eggiman, with one step-daughter, Elizabeth Haverland, and a half brother, Kirschner, who resides near National. The wife survives and resides with Elizabeth Haverland. Mr. Heuer came to America in 1883, and settled in Read twp., where he resided until the death of his son, when he came to make his home with Mrs. Eggiman.

The funeral was held on Friday last, in the Congregational church at this place, service to be held by Rev. G. F. Braum. The interment being in the East Side cemetery.
