Mrs. J.P. Patrick, aged 63 years, died April 26, at the family residence, 659 West Seventeenth street. At the request made previous to her demise she will be buried at McGregor, Iowa. There will be no services at the home except a brief song and prayer. The party will leave for McGregor this evening.

Mrs. Patrick was the wife of ex-Alderman, J.P. Patrick to whom she was married in Ohio in 1870. Her maiden name was Louise M. St. John and her birthplace Gustavus, Ohio in the year 1839. They moved to Iowa in 1870, residing in McGregor until 1892, when they removed to Des Moines.

Two children are living. A son Charles Patrick, in charge of the Dempster Manufacturing Co., of Sioux City. The daughter, Elizabeth lives at home. Although Mrs. Patrick has been in ill health for many years, she has formed the friendship of many Des Moines people who will mourn her loss. -- 'Des Moines Capital'

The remains of the late Mrs. J.P. Patrick arrived here Tuesday morning accompanied by Mr. J.P. Patrick, Charles and Miss Elizabeth Patrick, Miss Florence McKinnie, a niece, and Mrs. Ed. Stow, her sister. Services were held at the residence of E. Stow, Rev. G.A. Marshall officiating, fulfilling a promise made some years ago. Rev. C.A. Francis assisting. The large concourse of friends who gathered to pay their last respects to the departed showed the high esteem in which she was held by her old time friends and neighbors. Hervey Dix Post was in attendance.

She was laid to rest in Oakland cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the community in this their bereavement.
