Edgewood, Ia., May 5 - Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Elk Valley school house for Mrs. Esther Nimmo, Rev. Gray, of Edgewood, assisted by Rev. Klause, of Colesburg, officiated. Duets were rendered by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Irmacher, with Miss Julia Klaus at the organ.
The casket was borne by Thomas, John and Elias Hamlett, S.P. Ross, Charles Hook and Earl Rulon. Interment was in the family lot in Elk Valley cemetery.
Mrs. Nimmo, who died last Tuesday, was born in Clayton county, July 31, 1853. In 1871 she married William Nimmo. He died in November, 1928.
Surviving relatives are her son, Bert; an adopted daughter, Minnie, a registered nurse in Dubuque; a sister, Mrs. Vina Van Sickle; and five grandchildren.
Among those who attended the funeral were A.J. Taylor, wife, daughter and son-in-law, of Central City; Mr. and Mrs. James McConnell, Mrs. Flossie Swee and Mrs. Bertha Wolcutt, of Delhi; Delbert Rizer, Lincoln, Neb.; R.E. Boone and wife, of Manchester, and Miss Minnie Nimmo, of Dubuque.
