Elkader Register, Thur., 12 Oct. 1922.
It was with deep and sincere regret that the many friends of Mrs. Otto Meisner learned of her death, which occurred at her home Sunday morning about 9:00 o'clock.
Mrs. Meisner had been in her usual good health when her husband left for the Rohwedder dairy to assist in doing the chores, and it was during his absence that his beloved wife passed away.
Cleve Bell (Perry) Meisner, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Perry and was born June 30, 1891, in Boardman township.
She attended and graduated from the local high school.
On July 18, 1913, she was united in marriage to Otto Meisner at Elkader and to this union four girls were born, Syble, 9: Iolene, 7; Dorothy, 5; and Jennett, 2, who together with the husband mourn the departure of a good mother and wife.
This is indeed a sad case, a young mother being called away in the prime of life, leaving four little children and a grief-stricken husband, and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family.
The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the house and 2:00 o'clock at the Congregational church. The remains were laid at rest in the East Side cemetery, Rev. W. J. Warner officiating.
One by one we slip away into the unchartered harbor, but those who remain will hold them in loving memory until for us, too, the morning breaks.
