Elkader Register, Thur., 13 Apr. 1922.

Ludowika Dobrowsky was born in Klettau, Bohemia, on March 2, 1826, and came to this country in October, 1856. On February 11th, 1858, she was united in marriage to Frederick Barth and they resided in Guttenberg for a short time, later moving to Wisconsin, where they lived until the death of Mr. Barth, in 1901.

During the past twenty-one years she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. P. Eberhart, in this city.

She passed away from this life on April 5th, 1922, at the advanced age of ninety-six years, one month and three days and leaves to mourn her death two sisters, Mrs. Carolina Eggerth, of Pendleton, Oregon, and Mrs. Peter Eberhart of Elkader, besides a large number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

The remains were taken to Beetown, Wis., Friday, accompanied by A. Eberhart, Mrs. Lena Ernst and Wm. Witt, Jr., of this place and Ed. Eggerth, of Renwick, Iowa, whom they met at Marquette.

Mrs. Barth was of a quiet, unassuming disposition and her friends loved her for her fine character.

She sleeps in peace beside her husband at Beetown, in that sleep which she so well deserves.
