Wick, Jacob 1860 - 1933

Clayton County Register, Thur., 10 Aug. 1933.

The deceased, Mr. Jacob Wick, Sr., was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wick ad was born Aug. 2, 1860, at North Buena Vista, Ia. Mr. Wick passed away Sunday, Aug. 6th, at his home in North Buena Vista, after an illness of nine months. Mr. Wick was a life-long resident of this community. He reached the age of 73 years and four days.

On August 27, 1891, at Cassville, Wis., Mr. Wick was united in marriage to Margaret Homis. The following children were born to this union: Jacob, Jr., Catherine, Maglean, Alfred and Nina. One step-son, Anthony Homis, of Dubuque.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, three children and his step-son: Jacob Wick, Mrs. Jake Saylor, Mrs. A. P. Marsch, all of No. Buena Vista, and his step-son, Anthony Homis, of Dubuque. Also the following brothers and sisters. Mrs. J. Tinkey of Clayton, Mrs. Rose Erie of Guttenberg, George and John of Burlington, Jim of Elkport, and Joe of Dubuque.

Services were held from the home at No. Buena Vista with burial at Buena Vista.
