Clayton County Register, Thur., 06 Apr. 1933. Volga column.

Mrs. Amelia Steckleburg, 75, passed away at her home here on Monday evening at 7:30, following a lengthy illness. She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Emma Bennington of Fayette, Mrs. Lizzie Libby of Oelwein, Mrs. Minnie Probert of Volga, Mrs. Tillie Sentman of Fairmont, Minn., and Miss Amelia K. Steckleburg of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, with Rev. E. W. Fikse, pastor, officiating.

Death certificate names her Mary Steckelberg, nee Haferland. Widow of John Steckelberg.
