Henry M. Boettcher, son of Mrs. Wilhelmina Boettcher of this place, died at Custer, S.D., Wednesday, February 15, following an illness of about two month's duration.

Mr. Boettcher was born here in Boardman township, March 9th, 1879. He graduated from the local schools and remained in this community until he reached the age of 23 years. From here he went to South Dakota, where he made his home up to the time of his death, or a period of 30 years.

He visited his mother and relatives a number of times after going to South Dakota but for the last 15 years he had not been back home. His father, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death and he leaves to mourn his passing his aged mother, one brother, Richard, in St. Paul; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Glesne of Elkader and Mrs. Minnie Pratt of Minneapolis.

The body was brought back here last Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Anna Glesne, the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating. Interment was made in the East Side cemetery.
