Cresco friends have received word of the death of a former resident of this vicinity, Mrs. Asa Haskins, who passed away last week at her home at Lamont, Iowa, and was buried at Strawberry Point, Iowa, on Saturday last.

M. H. Dawes left Friday morning to attend the funeral of Mrs. Asa Haskins at Lamont. We are without particulars as to her death.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Susan Haskins who is buried in the Strawberry Point Cemetery and was born in 1835 and died Aug. 24, 1911.
