The remains of Walter Halsted, of Newton, were brought here Sunday and taken to the home of his brother, Will Worth, of this city. Funeral services occurred Monday afternoon in the Congregational church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Shelmidine, and interment in our cemetery beside his father, who preceded him in death several years ago. He leaves a wife, who was formerly Miss Bessie Speed, and seven children besides his mother, Mrs. Margaret Halsted, of this place, and three brothers, Geo. and Will, of this place, and Rufus of Stanley; Mrs. Lillie Waring of Edgewood and Mrs. Hazel Harris of Winthrop, and other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
