Louis Funk, the 16 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Funk, of Read township, died last week from the effects of a fall from the hay mow. Funeral services were held in Clayton Center on Friday, conducted by Rev. Burghard. The family have the sympathy of all in the loss of their son and brother. Death at any age is sad, but it is still more sad when the young die by accident. "It might have been otherwise" is the vain regret.- Democrat.
