Ella Marble was born in Guttenberg, Iowa, May 28th, 1857, where she resided until six years of age, when they moved to Michigan. In 1876 they returned to Iowa and settled in Volga, where Aug. 4th, 1878, she was united in marriage to Mr. Hamilton Keiholtz. They were the parents of six children, one dying in infancy. The surviving ones are Edgar, Lester, Alta, Lyan and Leta, with husband and father, two brothers, two sisters, besides other relatives and numerous friends are left to mourn her loss. Ella Keiholtz united by letter with the M.E. church twenty-two years ago, and although she has been poorly for a number of years, whenever her health permitted, she was found in the house of God. Ella, as she was familiarly called, passed away Feb. 19th, 1910, at her home in Volga, surrounded by her family and friends.
"Dearest mother, thou hast left us,
Here thy loss we deeply feel,
But 'tis God who hath bereft us
He can all our sorrows heal."The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the M.E. church, Rev. Kellar officiating, assisted by Rev. Tipton. The Ladies Aid Society, of which Mrs. Keiholtz was a member, marched in a body.
(Note: WPA records indicate Ella Keilholz, buried in Volga cemetery.)
