Sunday Jan. 28, 1968. Fred Block Dies on Sunday.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Tuecke Funeral Chapel for Fred W. Block 81 who died Sunday at the Northgate Manor Nursing home at Waukon, Ia.

The servies were conducted by Rev. James Brown, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and burial was in the Guttenberg City Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Douglas Geuder, Elwyn Schaffer, Howard Bell, and Duane Hess.

Mr. Block was born May 2, 1886, in rural Guttenberg; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Block Sr. On March 28, 1924, he married Edith M. Tindell who survives.

In addition to Mrs. Block, Mr. Block is survived by two sons, Harold and Gerald, both of Guttenberg, as well as by two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Handke, and Mrs. Alvin Handke both of Guttenberg, Ia.
