Lindeman, Henry 1845 - 1914

Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Oct. 1914.

Henry Lindeman passed away at the County Home Monday morning Oct. 19th, at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 17 days.

Deceased was born in Germany Jan. 2nd, 1845, but came to this country when yet very young. He made Clayton County his home. In his younger days he lost an arm through accident. To make a living he peddled medicine and other articles and was known all over the county. Since May of this year he had given up his work on account of sickness and was taken care of at the County Home until death relieved him of all earthly sufferings. His wife died April 30th, 1869, and the only relatives he leaves are a brother, Christ Lindeman, of Cascade, Iowa, and nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Franke at the Friedens church and Mederville cemetery on Tuesday October 20th.
