Lish, Celesta (Wiltse) died 1883

LISH, WILTSE, BROWN

DIED - Mrs. Celesta Lish, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Wiltse died at her home at Strawberry Point Iowa, Friday Feb. 16, 1883, at the age of 23 years.

She was sick but a few days of the measles. She had been a bride less than two months and was carried from her home leaving her husband confined to his bed with the same disease.

She was a member of the M.E. Church, and lived a consistent Christian life, dying with the hope of living in a better world. Funeral on following Sunday by Rev. McKim.

Note: She's buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery with her maiden name. Her husband John Henry Lish remarried to Josephine Brown, died 1930 & buried Rose Hill cemetery, Calhoun co. IA
