Eddie Bohan, son of Peter Bohan, was thrown off a box car while a coupling was being made, striking on the track between the cars, and in an attempt to crawl out between the wheels of the slowly moving cars, was run over and instantly killed. Coroners inquest held Sunday afternoon. Funeral was held Monday morning.

Another Sad Accident
Saturday evening between the hours of seven and eight at the west yards of the C.M. and St. Paul Ry. at North McGregor, Edward Bohen, a twelve year old boy was run over by a freight car and crushed to death.The boy in playing around the cars had climbed upon a car and seated himself on a brake wheel, other cars being switched against the car upon which he was seated, the shock threw him and he fell down in front of the car and the wheels passed over his chest instantly killing him.

Note: also printed in this issue was the report of an inquisition over the child's body - it gives DOD 7/20/1895. The 1895 IA State census enumerated him in the household of his parents Peter & Mary Bohan as a 9 year old. The parents were divorced in 1898.
