The living children are: John S. and Philip, of Guttenberg; Daniel, of Potter, Nebr.; Mrs. Anna Gibbons, of Nortonville, N.D.; Mrs. Christine Ayres, of Wheatland, Wyo.; and Mrs. Lizzie Morrow, of Ovoid, Colo. Deceased lived in Fayette County, Penn., for 18 years and then he with his family came to Clayton County, Iowa, settling on a farm in Millville township, where they lived until the fall of 1892, when they came to Guttenberg to reside and where deceased lived until his death. On November 22, 1902, his wife died at Guttenberg, and since that time he made his home with his son, John S. and family here, where he always received the best of care. Besides his six children, his death is deeply mourned by 32 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends, by whom he will be sadly missed. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church in this city Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Janzig officiating. Interment was made in the City cemetery.
