Monday evening's passenger brought the corpse of Jim Ball here for burial. His home was near Lamont. He went to Britt to assist in caring for sick ones in a brother's family. While there he died of heart trouble. As the disease of his brother's family was of a contagious nature (diphtheria), the authorities here ordered the corpse to be taken directly to the cemetery from the train. Besides his family, several brothers and sisters mourn his loss.
