The body of Mrs. Meckleberg was brought here Saturday, from Postville, for burial.

Mrs. Chas. Mecklenburg died on Wednesday, Dec. 24th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Martin, at Postville, and the remains were taken to Volga City for burial on Saturday, Dec. 27th. Mrs. Mecklenburg was a resident of Clayton county for many years, living for a long time in Read township and afterwards in Elkader, and many of her old acquaintances and friends will be sorry to learn of her death.
