Elkader Register & Argus, 31 Dec. 1908. strawberry Point columns.
We received a letter this week from Butte, Montana, conveying the sad news of the fatal accident which befell F. H. Lippelt, a former Strawberry Point boy having been killed in a railway collision on Dec. 15. He, with his parents, resided, until about three years ago, on a farm 9 miles east of here, when they moved to Tomah, Wis. He had been back here for a visit once since their removal from here, and had corresponded some with friends until about a month ago. He has been employed on the railroad for some time, and had been advanced to Conductor, and was holding this responsible position when killed.
