Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 27 Aug. 1908. Strawberry Point column.
The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Deyo will learn with sorrow of the death of their little daughter Ruth Helen, which occurred this morning at eight o'clock. The little child was sick but 24 hours, complaining to her mamma of not feeling well, and asked to be rocked. When asked as to whether she wanted to get up from her bed in the morning, she requested her mother to rock her and later asked to be laid on the cot. Rather anxious about her condition a physician was called, but to no avail her life was but a short while, and this morning her soul went into another world. She was three years old last June, but her patience and happiness were an example of a much older child. To the sorrowing parents, the sympathy of all is extended, and though the home has been saddened by the death of their darling, it is another home started in the kingdom of Heaven. Funeral at the house Saturday afternoon at 3 0'clock.
