Died.
Mrs. Dorothy Rust died at the home of he son Henry in Dubuque Tuesday and was brought here for burial Friday. Mrs. Rust had been a sufferer from dropsy for the past 6 months or more, and was taken to Dubuque for treatment. Her condition did not improve, however, and death came to her relief as stated above. Mrs. Rust was the wife of the late Christian Rust who died about five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Rust were married in the province of Hanover, Germany, and came direct from there to Guttenberg 38 years ago. They have always made Guttenberg their home.
The surviving members of the family are 4 girls and 2 boys. The girls are Mrs. Buchholz, of McGregor, Mrs. Sophia Heimbrodt, of Colesburg, Mrs. Chas. Gustafson, of Chicago and Mrs. Wm. Flasher of Colesburg. The boys, Henry of Dubuque and Julius of this place. The funeral will be held today (Friday) at the Lutheran church at 2 p. m. with interment at city cemetery.
[NOTE: Her maiden name was Leucker, according to the county marriage record of her daughter Sophia.]
