Fred J. Dent died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his mother, at Turkey River. Deceased was born in Dubuque, March 15, 1882. He had resided on a farm with his parents until he came to Guttenberg several years ago and learned the barber trade with John Luther, Jr., whose interest in the business he acquired, but, owing to failing health, was obliged to retire about a year ago. He was married to Miss Frances Boder, of Guttenberg, July 29th, 1907. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Henry Minger, brother William, sister Margie, and his step-father. The funeral took place from the residence of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Boder, under the auspices of Prairie la Porte lodge, No. 147, A.F. & A.M., at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in in the City cemetery.
