Leland W. Welsh, 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in his home after a lengthy illness.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Samuel Subramanian. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery, Guttenberg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Survivors include four daughters, Charlotte Travis of Wichita, Kan., Colleen Hansen of Waterloo, Carla Mueller of Guttenberg and Lalene Hansel of Elkader; three sons, Larry of Stout, Lenyn of Manchester and Lesley of Barstol, Calif.; three sisters, Arietta Henkes of Millville, Bev Helm of Elkader and Peg Bangs of Garnavillo; and two brothers, Bill of Millville and Bob of Cedar Rapids.
