Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 20 Feb. 1908. Monona column.

The messenger of death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schlitter, Jr., near Watson, on Feb. 10, to take their infant son, Clarence Theodore, at the tender age of one month, from their home. "The Lord gave, the Lord hath taken away." The Lord bless and comfort the bereaved parents. Funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. Haag, and interment was made in Council Hill cemetery.
