Woman, young children died in truck fire

GARNAVILLO -- A 20-year-old woman and two young children were the victims of a vehicle fire near Garnavillo on Sunday, the Clayton County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials said Rosilie Dutka, 20, Olivia Rodenberg, 4, and Max Rodenberg, 11 months, all of Garnavillo, died when a truck caught fire. Ryan Rodenberg, 26, and Zachary Johnson, 20, both of Garnavillo, escaped but were badly burned; their conditions weren't known Monday.

The Sheriff's Office said the fire happened about 4:15 p.m. on Highway 52 near Jigsaw Road, south of Garnavillo, on the way to Guttenberg. The vehicle left the highway and drove into a farm field before flames engulfed it.

The fire was under investigation.
