GUTTENBERG, Iowa - Lisa Marie (Hess) Lammers, 43, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center, Redding, Calif., as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Private burial will be held. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 207 S. First St., Guttenberg.

Mrs. Lammers worked at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital as a respiratory therapist and laboratory technician.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1960, in Dubuque, daughter of Charles Jr. and Lou Ann (Ruden) Hess. She married Todd Lammers on Aug. 19, 1994, at Pike's Peak Park, near McGregor.

She graduated from Leo High School, Holy Cross, and attended two years of college.

She enjoyed quilting, flowers, fishing and biking with Todd.

Her final act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Todd; her mother, Lou Ann; a daughter, Jessie Lammers; two sons, Matt Lammers and Drew Lammers; two sisters, Tammy (John) Kahle, of Guttenberg, and Tracey (David) Adams, of Dodge Center, Minn.; two brothers, Rodney (Janet) Hess, of Lansing, and Russell (Colleen) Hess, of Plainview, Minn; and her mother-in-law, Helene Lammers, her father-in-law, Irvin (Eloise) Lammers, and a brother-in-law, Rod (Meg) Lammers, all of Guttenberg. She was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews, Mitch, Leah, Jacob, Anna, Amelia, Carrie, Chad, Amelia, Madeline, Harrison, Becky and Andy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and her grandmother, Nora Ruden Broadwater.
