October 14, 1915 Clayton County newspaper states:
FORMER GUTTENBERG RESIDENT DIES AT LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.

Friends in this city have received the sad news from Los Angeles, California, stating that Mrs. Cecelia Zimmerman, wife of Joseph Zimmerman, Sr., deceased, had passed away at her home at that place on Saturday at the age of about 74 years. Deceased was a resident of Guttenberg for many years, her husband being the senior member of the former firm of Zimmerman & Ives here, which was successfully engaged here in the lumber business for many years, and also operating a saw mill. A number of years ago deceased went with her husband to Los Angeles, California, where her husband preceded her in death several years ago, and where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a kind and true mother and friend, and her death is deeply mourned by three daughters, Mrs. Rose Rogde of Los Angeles, Mrs. Clara Limbach of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs Anna Kiene, of Anamosa, Iowa, two sons Joseph Zimmerman, Jr., of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and W.F. Zimmerman, of Tampa, Florida., several grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends, but whom she will be sadly missed.
