Died - At her residence, near Monona, Dec. 31st, 1872, of Dropsy of the heart, Nancy, wife of Edward Boyles, aged 44 years and five months.

For the past six years the deceased has been a great sufferer, but amidst it all she evinced great patience and resignation to the will of her Heavenly father. Sustained by a hope in Christ, her closing hours were calm and peaceful. An affectionate wife, a loving mother and respected and beloved by all who knew her.

She leaves a husband and five children and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. But we all feel that our loss is her infinite gain. - J.S. Putman

Note: Her birth year is from her gravestone in the Monona City cemetery - a family tree on ancestry gives maiden name as Roland but no parents or source is given.
